How to install a “Clean” copy of Windows 7 from the upgrade Disc

There’s been a lot of discussion on the net about whether or not one can legally do a clean install of W7 with the upgrade disc. In the past, as long as you had the disc for an eligible OS available, you could format and install the new OS with an upgrade disc. We’re talking a non-significant cost difference…

Woody Leonhard, from Windows Secrets, has written a pretty good description of the method to accomplish this. MS has admitted that it is legal as long as you have a legitimate licensed copy of an eligible OS.
