TCP/IP Patch won’t be available top Windows XP

On September 8, MS released 3 patches that fixed “Vulnerabilities in Windows TCP/IP Could Allow Remote Code Execution “. They applied to Windows Vista and Server 2008.

MS has announced that these patches will not be released for Windows XP or Windows 2000 SP4. Apparently, it is too complicated… :-(  They also rated XP and 2000 as “Low” risk… They recommend using a firewall to block the affected ports.
